Between the Stripes LOI podcast successfully launched

After weeks of planning and hours of recording and editing time, on Friday, June 9th at Midday, the Between the Stripes team successfully launched the very first episode of its brand new Between the Stripes LOI podcast. Hosted by Kieran Burke and Jonathan Brier, the two Longford Town fans have not only put huge amounts of time into getting this totally non-profit venture up and running but indeed hard earned money from their own pockets.

The Between the Stripes LOI podcast will not only focus on Longford Town from week to week but indeed the League of Ireland as a whole, as well as Irish football in general. On this very first episode the lads discussed the recent sacking of Alan Mathews from Longford Towm, with former club P.RO. Donald Keogh joining them on the line to debate the decision. Town fan Darren Conway then phoned in with some very passionate views on the possibility of Gary Cronin taking “De Town” hot-seat, while also calling on the board to appoint who he thought was the only man for the job……Listen on below to find out who that may be.

Eir Sports Nathan Kelly was on hand to preview the upcoming World Cup qualifier between Ireland and Austria at the Aviva Stadium, while also discussing his work with the popular LOI broadcaster Eir. Finally, Cobh Ramblers manager Stephen Henderson was the first big name interview on the Between the Stripes LOI podcast and he was as ever full of insight and opinion.
